Hey, I’m Hieu, and I like building things. I’m a full-stack developer with a strong frontend focus, specialising in React and TypeScript. Much of my work is about making interfaces feel polished and accessible, and making complex problems simpler for the people using the product and the engineers maintaining it.

I’m most at home where product, design and engineering overlap. The details of an interface matter to me, and I enjoy understanding what’s behind it too, from APIs and data models to real-time communication, payments and infrastructure. I want to build products that look and feel thoughtfully designed, with systems that are reliable, can scale and are easy to reason about.

Over the past six years, I’ve worked across startups and product teams building digital-asset marketplaces, real-time social experiences, payment flows, booking systems and consumer applications. Lately, I’ve also been exploring how AI can help with that work. I use coding agents to take features from requirements through implementation and review, with the same care for engineering practices throughout.

When I’m not coding, you’ll usually find me at the gym, playing pickleball, or convincing myself halfway through a run that this was somehow a good idea.
